Ethnic Minority Group
Sichuan has a very large population,as one of the largest provinces, it has more than 15 minority ethnic groups living side by side with the Han people. Among these are the Yi, Hui, Quian, Tibetan and Miao people.Every minority has there own unique folk customs and are favered by visitors. Sichuan has China’s second-largest region inhabited by Tibetans as well as the largest region for Yi ethnic group and the only region where the Qiang people live in homogeneous communities.
Climate
The eastern part of the Sichuan basin experiences a subtropical and humid climate while the weatern part experiencing frequent fog with intense sunlight, but low temperatures. The average annual temperature is 16.5C, spring and autumn are the best time to go to Sichuan.

Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan Province, is renowned for its fertile land and agricultural wealth which have earned the city the nickname "Storehouse of Heaven".
