Sichuan is located in the southwestern region of China,most of its lands are in the Sichuan Basin.Sichuan is famous for its beautiful landscape ,brocades and luxurious satins.It is known as the "Land of Abundance" since ancient times.

Ethnic Minority Group Sichuan has a very large population,as one of the largest provinces, it has more than 15 minority ethnic groups living side by side with the Han people. Among these are the Yi, Hui, Quian, Tibetan and Miao people.Every minority has there own unique folk customs and are favered by visitors. Sichuan has China’s second-largest region inhabited by Tibetans as well as the largest region for Yi ethnic group and the only region where the Qiang people live in homogeneous communities.
Climate The eastern part of the Sichuan basin experiences a subtropical and humid climate while the weatern part experiencing frequent fog with intense sunlight, but low temperatures. The average annual temperature is 16.5C, spring and autumn are the best time to go to Sichuan.
Cities and Highlights Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan Province, is renowned for its fertile land and agricultural wealth which have earned the city the nickname "Storehouse of Heaven". Chengdu is also home to the Chengdu Giant Panda Research Base, one of the most important centers in the world for the captive conservation of the Giant Panda. Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area is located in north Sichuan.Jiuzhaigou is a deep valley of stunning natural beauty that once you visit there you don't want to go to other place to see the water.It is the last fairyland that ever existed.It is well-known for its network of alpine lakes, spectacular waterfalls and wonderful vegetation.The name Jiuzhaigou refers to the 9 Tibetan villages that are situated in the valley.

Leshan Giant Buddha is an enormous statue carved on a cliff on Soaring to the Clouds Hill facing the three rivers. The statue took ninety years to complete, from 713 to 803 during the Tang Dynasty,and it is the largest carved stone Buddha in the world by now.
