Shanhaiguan Pass,which was built in the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), also called "The First Pass Under Heaven", is the easternmost end of the Great Wall.The pass has been a bone of contention for military strategists since the ancient times.

Besides the historical relics,tourists can also see the beautiful natural landscapes in Hebei.Beidaihe,which is a famous and scenic summer resort located at the southwest of Qinhuangdao Municipality,is very popular in summer,travellers can enjoy the sunshine, beaches and fresh air there.Moreover, Beidaihe is one of nine famous sun-rise watching spots in China.And in winter, the Baiyang Lake in Baoding City is a spectacular destination to see very unique scenery of reeds and snows.
