Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1
Place & Transport: Entrance City to Yellow Mountain, Flight not included
Today's Activities: Airport to Hotel Transfer (Yellow Mountain)
Detailed Itinerary: A private transfer with English speaking guide is arranged. your guide will will meet your at the airport and brief the next day itinerary on the way. on arrival, check in your hotel.

Day 2
Place & Transport: Yellow Mountain
Today's Activities: Xin'an River
Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch
Detailed Itinerary: Drive to nanyuankou, a town at the upstream of xin'an river, also the starting point of the hiking route. walk 20km along the river, pass several small villages on the way
- Xin'an River: Xin'an river was famous for the construction of the first large hydroelectric since the founding of new China, and it was regarded as Huizhou people's mother river.

Day 3
Place & Transport: Yellow Mountain
Today's Activities: Huangshan Scenic area
Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch, Chinese Dinner
Detailed Itinerary: Drive to huangshan scenic area, climb 4-5 hours up to the beihai hotel. have lunch there. for the energetic, continue today's hiking trip to the top of the mountain and enjoy the magnificent view at sunset.
- Huangshan Scenic area: Located in the south of Anhui Province, with an area of about 1,200 square kilometers, known as "the loveliest mountain in China", famous for its magnificent scenery made up of many granite peaks and rocks emerging out of clouds.

Day 4
Place & Transport: Yellow Mountain
Today's Activities: Paiyun pavilion, West Grand Canyon
Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch, Chinese Dinner
Detailed Itinerary: Morning visit to the top of the mountain, then hike to west grand canyon via paiyun pavilion.
- Paiyun pavilion: Paiyun pavilion is well known by its scenery to rosy clouds, sea of clouds and artistic stones. Tourists can stay at Paiyun pavilion if those who can not climb to the "West Grand Canyon", because Paiyun pavilion is the best place to view and admire the artistic stones of Huangshan, which also called the museum of stones. Once you stand at Paiyun pavilion to see the clouds and fog around thousands of mountains as you stay in the island of the sea.
- West Grand Canyon: "West Grand Canyon", is the title of the attraction which among the Paiyun pavilion to buxian bridge. It is quite difficult to express its quiet, strange and adventurous by poem and words, which show us the unique charm of Huangshan.

Day 5
Place & Transport: Yellow Mountain
Today's Activities: Jade Screen Pavilion, Jade Valley
Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch, Chinese Dinner
Detailed Itinerary: Hike along the route to jade screen pavilion, jade valley.
- Jade Screen Pavilion: The Jade Screen Pavilion, 1,680 meters above sea level, is known as the Jade Screen of the Heaven. A unique experience here is to watch the white clouds drift below after rain, when picturesque mountain peaks, fantastic rock formations and green pines are enveloped in mist, with only their tops showing. In front of the pavilion there are the Guest-Greeting and Guest-Goodbye Pines
- Jade Valley: Jade valley scenic area is located at the east side of Huangshan. Water run down from the Liandan Peak and the Beginning to Believe Peak. This scenic area is about 6000m long, full of many kinds of colorful ponds, about several hundreds in number some big some small, and among them 40 ponds are so big that all of their dimensions exceed 100 square meters, and the biggest one is nearly 1000 square meters.

Day 6
Place & Transport: Yellow Mountain
Today's Activities: Xidi Village, Hongcun Village
Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch
Detailed Itinerary: Today, finish the mountain climbing and hiking and visit xidi village, hongcun village. have a relaxing walk in the two villages.
- Xidi Village: Xidi is located at the foot of Mt. Huangshan. It's 54 kilometers away from Huangshan City.First built 900 years ago in Song Dynasty, its traditional architecture is well preserved. The buildings and the street patterns, reflect the socio-economic structure of a long-lived settled period of Chinese history
- Hongcun Village: It's located in the place which is about 10 kilometers off the northeast part of Yixian County. An ancient town over 800 years old leaning against Mt. Huangshan, it is folded in the fog of the Mt. which makes it look like a river and mountain picture. It enjoys the reputation of "The Chinese town in the pictures". Especially, the whole town distributes like a "cow", which made it one of the wonders in the world culture heritage. The famous film "Crouching Tiger" was made here.

Day 7
Place & Transport: Yellow Mountain
Today's Activities: Qiyun Mountain, Hengjiang raft drifting
Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch
Detailed Itinerary: Visit another famous mountain, qiyun mountain in this area.
- Qiyun Mountain: Qiyun Mountain, one of the sacred places of Taoism in China, stands 15km away from the county town of Xiuning. With its summit perennially shrouded in clouds and mists, it was called Baiyue (White Mountain) in ancient times.

Day 8
Place & Transport: Yellow Mountain
Today's Activities: The Three Buildings of Family Cheng, The Former Residence of Chengdawei, Ink Stone Factory, Huashan Grottoes
Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch
Detailed Itinerary: Visit the three buildings of family cheng, the former residence of chengdawei, ink stone factory, huashan grottoes.
- The Three Buildings of Family Cheng: The Three Buildings of Family located in 7#, dongli alley, baishu road, tunxi district, Huangshan. Whether the Housing ancient history, or whether it's peerless carving and rich cultural connotations are internally rare, which was regarded as "residential areas of the Ming Dynasty treasures" By the ancient architectural expert Fu Xinian of the Palace Museum in Beijing.
- The Former Residence of Chengdawei: The Former Residence of Chengdawei, Chen Dawei is the famous mathematician in late Ming Dynasty, who was regarded as "abacus calculation originator". There are aisle and lawn in the garden, windows all are abacus patten, which reflected old master's status of "abacus calculation originator".
- Ink Stone Factory: Ink Stone is the most important part of "Four Treasures of the Study". Because of its solid texture, ink stone can be handed down from ancient times. The Ink Stone Factory in Hangshan is one of the most famous ink stone factories in China, where you can see the whole working process.
- Huashan Grottoes: The Huangshan Mysterious Grottoes is located in the east suburb of Huangshan, an international tourist city. It is 12 kilometers away from the center of the city. It is not the natural cave but the highlights artificial cave, the artificial mark of drilling on the inside wall are neat and readable which was built in Jing Dynasty at least 1700 years ago.

Day 9
Place & Transport: Yellow Mountain
Today's Activities: Yuliangba, Xin'an Stele Garden, Doushan Street, Xuguo Stone Arches
Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch
Detailed Itinerary: Visit yuliangba, xin'an stele garden, doushan street, xuguo stone arches. small walks in this sightseeing spots.
- Yuliangba: Yuliangba was an large ancient projects in Xixian County which had been preserved well and rare to be seen in Anhui province.The length of the whole dam is about one hundred meters and talus 50 meters long,which was built by granite blocks in one to two tons.
- Xin'an Stele Garden: Xin'an Stele Garden near by the Taibai building, and the node will be in park and garden for integration, which along with the hill together to show unique Chinese custom. Various kind of walls,sculptural windows and doors have a mutual vision.The stele aisle twisted more than two hundreds meters long.
- Doushan Street: Doushan street is a collection of ancient residential areas, neighborhoods, the ancient carving, old well, ancient memorial arch in the integration of cultural tourism attractions.
- Xuguo Stone Arches: Xuguo stone Arches located in jiefang street of yixian, which is the focus of provincial heritage protection. It was built in Ming Dynasty also called "Eight Horns Memorial Arch".

Day 10
Place & Transport: Depart Yellow Mountain
Today's Activities: Hotel to airport Transfer (Yellow Mountain), Tunxi Acient Street
Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch
Detailed Itinerary: Visit tunxi ancient street by rickshaw or on foot. in the late afternoon, you will be transferred to the airport in time for your flight back to shanghai.
- Tunxi Acient Street: It's located in the center of the old city of Tunxi,there are hundreds of old but well preserved rows of shops, evoking a bygone era in buildings that are simple and elegant. It is a commercial street that is only for pedestrians.

Travel Tips
1. Be kind to yourself - Travel light! Facilities are available to leave luggage at the bottom of the mountain, so if possible please take a small bag or backpack for your overnight stay on the mountain. If this is not possible and you need to take luggage to the top of the mountain, porters are available to carry your bags. You will need to negotiate a price. RMB 120 would be a fair price to pay for this service

2. Clothing & Shoes - It is essential to take a jacket as it gets chilly and good walking shoes. Raincoats can be purchased and are a very wise investment for protection from the rain and wind. Don't use an umbrella as it can be dangerous.

3. Purchase some bottled water and snacks before you start to ascend the mountain. Supplies are available on the mountain but the prices increase with the altitude.

4. A cable car is available to make your trip to the top of the mountain easier but there are still lots of steep narrow stairs on the mountain if you plan to get the most out of you time. Please take care when climbing and trying to get the best photo opportunity.
