Day 1

Today's Activities: Airport to Hotel Transfer (Guiyang)

Day 2
Place & Transport: Guiyang to Sandu
Today's Activities: Shiqiao Miao village, Qingman Miao Village
Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch, Chinese Dinner

- Shiqiao Miao village: A Miao village is well known for silk felt making whilst Shiqiao village has a history of paper making whose ancient traditional methods of production are still followed today.
- Qingman Miao Village : Located 23 kilometers southwest away from Kaili city. One of the biggest characteristics here is that a guest who visits a household at will may have witnessed the entire process of traditional Miao clothes-making. The main traditional clothing material is the homemade cloth span, woven, and dyed all by the Miaos. The widespread local song "Cotton Song" states the entire process of looking for the cotton seed, seed selection, land reclamation, sowing, harvesting cotton, getting rid of seed, bowing cotton, spinning, reeling thread, dyeing, and sewing. In each household you can see dye vats used for dying cotton material. This kind of dye vat is made of the cedar plank, approximately 2 and half feet high, one meter in diameter. The dye vat must be raised because it takes about one month to finish dying a bolt of cloth by indigo dying water and this process is called "aising vat".


Day 3
Place & Transport: Sandu to Rongjiang
Today's Activities: Sanbao Dong village, Rongjiang County, Zengchong Drum Tower, Duliu river
Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch, Chinese Dinner

- Sanbao Dong village: It is located among mountains and rivers,in the center of Banyan tree scenic area.Surrounded by more than 40 trees that are hundreds of years old.There are several hundred families in the village, most people surnamed Yang,and has a singing tradition. Almost all people in village can sing folk songs.
- Rongjiang County: It is an old town with the history of over 2000 years. It is holly land where the Dong & Miao ethnic nationalities originated.
- Zengchong Drum Tower: Standing in Zengchong Village, 82 Kilometres northwest of Congjiang, Zengchong Drum Tower is the largest and oldest drum tower in Guizhou and also a major cultural relic under state protection.
- Duliu river: It originates from southern Dushan County, flows southeast across the Dong area in Rongjiang County and empties into the Liujiang River in Guangxi. With many tributaries, the Duliu has abundant flow of water.

Day 4
Place & Transport: Rongjiang to Liping to Zhaoxing
Today's Activities: Dali Dong village, Dong People's Village in Zhaoxing
Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch, Chinese Lunch, Chinese Dinner

- Dali Dong village: It is a typical minority village.There are all together one thousand villager settled there.The village locates near the river, as water is the soul of Dong Minority. Its characteristic architecture style and flagging all tell you the long history and show you a picture of natural beauty.
- Dong People's Village in Zhaoxing: It is the largest and oldest Dong village in China and the world. There are five Drum Towers, Wind & Rain Bridges and traditional stages in the village.

Day 5
Place & Transport: Zhaoxing to Congjiang to Rongjiang
Today's Activities: Basha Miao Village, Tang'an Dong Village
Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch, Chinese Dinner

- Basha Miao Village: Only 5 kilometers away from Congjiang and with a highway running right across。Basha is a very special and old Miao Ethnic village. The villagers still practice their unique traditions dating to Qing Dynasty ( about 2200 years ago. Basha village is very little touched by violent modernization. Residents there still live in their wooden houses, practicing centuries-long custom and have their own unique belief.
- Tang'an Dong Village : The country road stretches to the village, which is located on a mountainside and is surrounded by paddy field and lush greens. There are about 800 people and 160 households in the village. The village has a long history, though it hasn't got any written records of its history. There are village gate, drum tower, drama tower, ancient graveyard, ancient well, and water-powered roller for grinding grain, barns and the pit to worship the female ancestors of Dong people. There are also ancient stone paths and wood houses in the village. All of these make it a perfect place for people to return to nature.

Day 6
Place & Transport: Rongjiang to Xijiang
Today's Activities: Xijiang Miao Village
Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch, Chinese Dinner

- Xijiang Miao Village: Xijiang Miao Village, also called the "homeland of Lusheng", is the largest Miao villages in Guizhou.
Geographic location: 36 km northeast of the county town of Leishan.


Day 7
Place & Transport: Xijiang to KaiLi
Today's Activities: Langde Miao village, Kaili Ethnic Minorities Museum, Nanhua long-skirt Miao village
Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch

- Langde Miao village: The villagers in Langde wear long skirts, hence they are "Long Skirt Miao". The Miao style houses "Diaojiaolou" and its featured and creative festivals will cause you spell bound.Around 500 villagers in ten families, the Langde Miao Village is considered small. Members of the Miao Ethnic Minority, they adopt common habits and customes. Entering the village, visitors would find themselves literarily immersed in works of art.
- Kaili Ethnic Minorities Museum: In the museum there has a quite detailed introduction to human culture, geography, and the national minorities'customs of the southeastern areas of Guizhou Province. Some writing, pictures, and material objects are displayed here. Minority Customs hall and Dragon Boat hall are the main exhibits which are worth watching.
- Nanhua long-skirt Miao village: It is the counterpart of Langde, about twenty kilometers from Kaili. Either will bring visitors unexpected pleasant surprise.
The Miao style houses "Diaojiaolou" and its featured and creative festivals are fascinating. The Miao Village is considered small. Members of the Miao Ethnic Minority, they adopt common habits and costumes. Entering the village, visitors would find themselves literarily immersed in works of art.

Day 8
Place & Transport: KaiLi to Guiyang to Anshun
Today's Activities: Jiaxiulou, Tunbao Cultural Village in Tianlong
Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch

- Jiaxiulou: Built in 1598, and is one of the symbols of Guiyang. The tower is a timberwork building with attics,and twelve stone pillars at the bottom.It is surrounded by a marble balustrade. Jiaxiu Tower is linked with the Fuyu Bridge which connects both the south and north banks.
- Tunbao Cultural Village in Tianlong: Tunbao People settle in the middle of Guizhou Province. According to the historical literature and narrated materials, the ancestors of Tunbao People are the soldiers who were stationed in Guizhou Province about 600 years ago in the Ming Dynasty. Even now, Tunbao People still live in forts and keep a simple and peculiar army style. Stone foundations, stone walls, flagstone roofs, watchtowers, wall crenels and even dogholes upstairs characterize their buildings. They (especially women) dress in the ancient Ming and Qing style, speak with the accent of their native regions on the south of Yangtze River and eat food of army flavor. Dixi, which they perform at festivals and celebrations, is the continuation of the ancient "Martial Nuoxi" and renowned as "the living fossil of the ancient shows".

Day 9
Place & Transport: Anshun to Guiyang
Today's Activities: The Dragon Palace, Huangguoshu Waterfall
Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch

- The Dragon Palace: 27 km from Anshun and 132 km from Guiyang,it made up of a great number of karst caves stretching fifteen kilometers long, running through some twenty hills and connecting over ninety caves. An underground river flows through the caves, leaving some dry and some wet. At the moment only 840 meters of the stone tunnel is open, having been divided into six "halls". The cave, 80-meter high and 50-meters at its widest point, contains some fantastic stalactites and is entered by boat from Tianci Lake. It is known as one of the spectacles of Asia.
- Huangguoshu Waterfall: Located 43 km southwest of Anshun of Guizhou Province, the Huangguoshu Waterfalls are one of the largest waterfall groups in China. They have been found out that the falls in this area consist of 18 falls on the ground and 4 underground falls. Among them Huangguoshu Waterfalls, which is the largest one in the groups and in Asia as well, is 68 meters high and 8l meters wide with a flow of more than 700 cubic meters of water per second, huge amounts of water seem like pouring from the sky. Turbulent waters throw into a pool at the bottom of a valley, sending foams up by 100 meters. And roars can be heard kilometers away. When the sun rises rainbows appear, adding a touch of beauty to the majesty of the cataract.
