it is about time to put characters and words together into sentences. Let’s start by the first sentence you should learn:

我爱中国!  I love China!

我 wo3 I, me

爱 ai4 love

中国 zhong1 guo2 China

Explanation:

This sentence is of a typical structure:  noun (subject) + verb + noun (object)

Since Chinese does not have different forms of nouns serving as a subject or object, the order of words has to be in this particular order.  Reversing ‘I’ and ‘China’ will mean “China loves me”.

Here is another example using similar words of the same structure:

我们喜欢欧洲!  We like Europe!
