碧玉妆成一树高，

万条垂下绿丝绦。

不知细叶谁裁出，

二月春风似剪刀。


As in green jade stands tall the slender tree,
 
From it thousands of silken strings downward swing.
 
But by whose hands can such delicate foliage be,
 
If not for the shears-like breeze of early spring?
