Mr. Shao Zhongjie, born in Xiaxian county, north China Shanxi province, in 1926, is a famous chinese paintist.
Mr. Shao has studied painting since childhood. He was guided by Ren Bainian, Wu Changshuo,Wang Xuetao. They all were well known artists. He combined west painting skills with chinese traditional drawing techniques to take form a unique artistic style of his own. Peony Shao is nicknamed by his fellows. Peony is widely regarded as China's state flower.The peony flower painted by Shao has been particularly popular and much adored by the viewers. Peony flower under his brush is brought to life by means of vivid sketch and fantastic application of colors. Apart from peony, he is versatile in other kinds of birds and flowers paintings. His brush also produces bamboo, wintersweet, wistaria and so on.
Mr. Shao , as a senior painting teacher, has been engaged in art life more than 50 years.His main works are Peony Free Sketch Techniques, Album of Shao Zhongjie's Chinese Paintings, etc.
Mr. Shao currently holds positions as a member of Sichuan Culture and History Research Institute, a visiting professor of Southwest Nationalities College, the Deputy Director of Bashu Poety, Calligraphy and Painting Research Society, and an honorary president of Chengdu Jin Sui Calligraphy and Poetry Institute.
邵仲节先生一九二六年出生于山西夏县，著名国画家。
邵先生自幼习画，受到任佰年、吴昌硕、王雪涛等一代名家影响，师承前人，刻意创新，他善于吸收和应用西画技法，保持和发扬中国画的传统特色，融合民间艺术精髓于其中，形成了自己鲜明的艺术特色和风格他擅长写意花鸟画，尤以牡丹著称，有“邵牡丹”之美誉。他笔下的梅、竹、紫藤等亦各具风姿。
邵先生从事艺术生涯五十年，高级美术教师、桃李成林、成绩斐然。邵先生著有《写意牡丹技法》、《邵仲节国画集》和邵仲节国画挂历。
邵先生是政协成都市第八届委员、民进成都市第五届委员、西南民族学院客座教授，现为中国文联牡丹书画艺术委员会副会长，四川省美协会员、四川省文史研究馆馆员、巴蜀诗书书研究会副会长、成都市政协书画院院长、民进成都诗书画社社长、锦江区政协书画院院长、锦水书画院荣誉院长。
