Since ancient times, China has been closely related to Vietnam. About 2,000 years ago, Confucianism spread to Vietnam, where the ruling class of successive dynasties gave it great importance. The court set up education in Confucianism; there were institutions of
Confucianism, official posts were obtained through imperial examinations on Confucianism and regular ceremonies were held in Confucian temples. People offered sacrificial services in the same way as the Chinese did. Therefore, among the oriental countries, Vietnam is one of the few where Confucius and Confucianism were so influential.
