Confucianism was introduced into the Korean Peninsula around the 3rd century B.C. and began to flourish in 1392, when the Li Dynasty was founded. in the long span of Korean history, Confucius's teachings gradually took root in the minds of the Korean people as a kind of ruling principle. Just as it did in China, Confucius's teachings have occupied a dominant position in the traditional culture of Korea. After World War II, much attention was paid to Confucianism both in South and North Korea. And since the 1970s, research institutes have been set up, courses opened and the study of Confucianism popularized.
