Stand the tiles up, with the numbers or letters at the top of the tile. Place all the tiles of the same suit together. Put them into sequence, from the lowest number to the highest number. Put any pairs or three of a kind together.
For a beginner, unless you have a pair or more of the winds or dragons, it is convenient to discard these first
Tip: A pair of winds is two IDENTICAL tiles. For example north wind and south wind is not a pair—you can discard these first.
