With wonderful workmanship, the designers and builders of this golden glaze-tiled building brought the myth of the God of Heaven living in the Forbidden City to life. Standing on the wide platform in front of Taihe Hall ( Hall of Heavenly Harmony), people will feel the sky lowering, the earth rising and history about to be performed in the vast open space below. Many films including Oscar-winning "The Last Emperor," were shot here, implying that imperial power can only reappear here.
