第二天晚上吃饭的时候，我和朋友一起品尝了绍兴黄酒，地点正好在鲁迅文章中出现过的咸亨酒店。黄酒的味道非常好。和其他中国酒相比，我们意大利人更喜欢绍兴黄酒的颜色和香味。
绍兴的小吃多得数不清，我主要想说说臭豆腐。提起臭豆腐，我就想起了热带的榴莲①。榴莲是以“异味”闻名的水果，而臭豆腐是以“异味”闻名的小吃。它们共同的特点就是：闻起来奇臭无比，但吃起来却异香可口，而且还有很高的营养价值。
臭豆腐的臭味在很远的地方就可以闻到，而正是因为它的臭才引起了一些好奇的人去吃。我们在绍兴吃午餐的时候，服务员先上了几个特色菜，样样都很可口，最后才上臭豆腐。臭味刺激②着我的嗅觉③。想不到臭豆腐这么臭，这样臭的东西能好吃吗？我迟疑④着不敢下筷子。我担心吃臭豆腐会吃坏肚子，心里既害怕又好奇。最后我鼓起勇气，决定尝一尝这绍兴著名的特色小吃。夹起来放在口中，外面脆脆的，里面软软的，满口弥漫⑤着清香，我终于尝到了臭豆腐的美味！
两天中，我看了风景，听了故事，尝了美食，却远远没有感到满足。我想，绍兴，我会再来的。
The next day, while having our dinner, we tasted some yellow rice wine in Xian Heng Tavern, which is the very tavern mentioned in Lu Xun’s works. Shaoxing yellow rice wine tastes really fantastic. Compared with the other Chinese wines, we Italians prefer to yellow rice wine－both its color and its fragrance.
Among the various kinds of snacks in Shaoxing, I have special interest in the fermented bean curd (strong-smelling preserved bean curd). It makes me think of durian, both are famous for their extraordinary, bad smell. They have one thing in common, that is, though they give off an unbearable stink, they are really delicious and rich in nutrition. The stink can be smelled miles away. However, it is also this bad smell that arouses so many people’s curiosity to have a try.
When I was having lunch at Shaoxing, we had some local special dishes, each of which was tasty. The last dish was fermented bean curd. The strong smell of this specially preserved bean curd really stimulated me. I couldn’t help wondering: “Will such smelly food taste good ?” I hesitated and dared not move my chopsticks. I was afraid I would get sick if I tried it. Frightened as I was, I plucked up my courage at last to taste this famous Shaoxing snack. The moment I put it into my mouth, I found it crisp outside but soft inside. A fragrant and pleasant taste suddenly permeated my whole mouth. I really understand what a delicious food the strong-smelling preserved bean curd is !
During the two days, I appreciated the scenery, heard the stories and tasted the delicious food, but I am far from being satisfied. I think I will come to Shaoxing again.
