Martial arts developed greatly in the Ming Dynasty ,when many schools of martial arts arose , together with theoretical books . Such books included theoretical conclusions . The representatives of them were “Jinong Faggot Book” , “On Martial Arts” , “Martial Arts Exercises After Farming” ,etc . The modern martial arts consist of three categories : the boxing (Long Boxing , Taiji Boxing , South Boxing , form Boxing , Eight-Trigram Boxing , etc .) ; the weapon exercises (with long weapons , short weapons , soft weapons); and the sparring exercises (barehanded or with weapons) .
