(BEIJING, April 20) -- The "Good Luck Beijing" 2008 FIE World Championships on April 20 saw Italy's Andrea Cassara outfight his German rival Benjamin Kleibrink to win the men's individual foil event.
During the match, Cassara drew with Kleibrink on several occasions before beating the latter 15-11 for the gold medal. Benjamin Kleibrink took the silver medal.
The bronze-medal match, contested between Italy's Andrea Baldini and Russia's Alexey Cheremisinov, ended 15-8 in favor of the Italian. Alexey Cheremisinov was fourth.
