(BEIJING, April 17) -- Wei Ning of China, a 2004 Athens Olympic silver medalist, won a gold medal with a total score of 97 in the Women's Skeet Qualification at the Good Luck Beijing 2008 ISSF World Cup at the Beijing Shooting Range CTF on April 17.
Ning breezed through the finals hitting all 25 clay targets to be crowned the title.
The silver medal scramble was among Diana Bacosi of Italy, Haley Dunn of the United States and Nathalie Larsson, who scored 97 after the 25 round of shoots in finals.
Finally, Bacosi won the silver medal with 4 points during the shoot-off, and Dunn took the bronze medal with 2 points.
The second seed in today's preliminaries, veteran Zhang Shan of China was not in top form, missing four rounds of shooting and placing fifth in finals.
