(BEIJING, February. 1) -- China's Zhang Lin finished in 1:48.92 and took the bronze of the men's 200m freestyle of the "Good Luck Beijing" 2008 Swimming China Open in the National Aquatics Center Friday. The gold went to German Paul Biedermann with 1:48.51.

"I hadn't limbered-up properly, and warm-up is needed to stretch the muscles after a long night's sleep," Zhang noted after the race, adding that his body was still reluctant to adapt to the new Beijing Olympic swimming schedule, which has changed from evening to morning.

Zhang revealed that he did less warm-up exercises Friday morning, and consequently, his result today was not as good as Thursday's.

In addition to the men's 200m freestyle, Zhang Lin will also participate in the 400m and 1500m freestyle events.
