NEW YORK, Sept. 4 (Xinhua) -- World number one Justine Henin advanced to the US Open semi-finals on Tuesday after beating two-time champion Serena Williams 7-6 (3), 6-1.
Williams had a set point at 6-5 but the Belgium won the first set through a tie-break and then never looked back en route to a clash with either third seed Jelena Jankovic of Serbia or American12th seed Venus Williams.
"I played a very good tiebreak. I am very happy about my second set, I took all the opportunities I have. I hope I can just keep going," Henin said after the match.
