BEIRUT, Aug. 23 (Xinhua) -- The Lebanese under-17 team scored its second victory in the West Asia Basketball Championship held in the Iranian capital, Tehran, and this time over its Iraqi counterpart (62-70).
This win came in extra time after the match ended (59-59) and the Lebanese Bachir Saad was best scorer with 18 points, local Terra news website reported on Thursday.
The first tournament of the championship features six teams while the second phase will be held next year to decide the team that will qualify for the Asian finals.
