WELLINGTON, June 24 (Xinhua) -- A seven-year-old girl from New Zealand's North Island city of Palmerston North has won a competition to go to the Beijing Olympics, the New Zealand Press Association reported on Tuesday.
Marla Beissel was chosen from 85,000 New Zealand kids to go to China in August.
The competition was part of the My Greatest Feat challenge, which involves kids collectively walking the length of New Zealand by adding up the steps on their pedometers.
