SWE tops men's 100m free

(BEIJING, Feb. 3) -- The "Good Luck Beijing" 2008 Swimming China Open entered its fourth day on Sunday. In the men's 100m free final, Stefan Nystrand from Sweden clocked 48.94 and carried off the gold. Brazilian Nicholas Dias dos Santos stood second with a time of 49.98. And Chinese swimmer Huang Shaohua won the bronze medal in a time of 50.06.

When the race started, Huang Shaohua was the last to enter the water with a time of 0.82, while the gold medal winner Stefan Nystrand was in the lead position from the beginning.

In the last half, Huang Shaohua sped up and surpassed German swimmer Steffen Deibler, winning a bronze medal.
