Rogge and his wife arrive at Beijing鈥檚 Capital International Airport.
(BEIJING, April 6) -- International Olympic Committee President Jacques Rogge arrived on Sunday in Beijing to attend the 16th General Assembly of the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC) scheduled for April 7-9.

Rogge landed at Capital International Airport at 15:30. Wang Wei, executive vice president and secretary general of BOCOG; Yu Zaiqing, IOC executive member and executive vice-president of BOCOG; and He Zhenliang, chairman of the IOC's Commission for Culture and Olympic Education, where on hand to welcome Rogge at the airport.

The General Assembly of the Association of National Olympic Committees is held every two years. It has become customary to hold the meeting at the host city of the summer Olympic Games. This is the top level convention ahead of the Olympic Games and up to 800 people from 205 NGOs, International Sports Federations/Associations, the IOC Organizing Committee, and IOC will attend the meeting.
