MOSCOW, Dec. 29 (Xinhua) -- Russia's Sochi will build 21 facilities for the Winter Olympic Games in 2014 in the Black Sea resort, government ministry has said on Saturday.
"There are companies wishing to build 14 facilities, they are ready to take part in a tender to get a status of investment companies to construct facilities," Russian Regional Development Ministry said on its website.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has hailed Sochi's success bid for Olympics at a New Year reception in the Kremlin on Friday.
"The successful bid of Sochi for hosting Winter Olympic Games 2014 was a tangible symbol and recognition of our success," he said.
"The whole country celebrated that victory. I must say that we would not have won it if we had not revived the economy, finance and political stability in Russia," said the president.
