
A delegation from the Beijing 2008 Organizing Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (BOCOG), headed by Liu Jingmin, Executive Vice President of BOCOG and Vice Major of Beijing, is currently visiting the headquarters of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) in Bonn, Germany, to carry out the first Paralympic Games Strategic Project Review.
In several meetings, representatives of BOCOG and IPC discussed various aspects of the Paralympic Games preparation process, including accomodation, Games services, venue management and International relations.
IPC President Sir Philip Craven attended the opening session of the meeting and said: "Exactly 20 months before the opening of the Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games, I am happy to welcome Mr. Liu and the delegation of BOCOG to Bonn. This is an exciting opportunity for the IPC to further strengthen our relationship and enhance the Games planning process. We are sure that the Beijing 2008 Paralympics have the potential to surpass all our expectations."
Additionally to the meetings, Sir Philip Craven and Mr. Liu also met with the Lord Major of Bonn, Barbel Dieckmann in her office at the City Hall of Bonn.
The Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games will take place from 6 to 17 September 2008.
