(BEIJING, September 3) -- Environmentalists might point out how much change the construction of the Laoshan Mountain Bike Course has caused to the natural scenery.
To meet the requirements of the Olympic mountain bike competitions, a handful of temporary facilities had to be built. After all of this work, however, western Beijing now looks even more attractive.
Indeed, not much has changed even with the steep slopes and turning points of the road, except, maybe, that they have become steeper. And more greenery can also be found along the road.
The site is open to the people in the neighborhood, who can now enjoy watching the cyclists as they pass in this gorgeous setting as much as the beautiful natural scenery.
