(BEIJING, August 16) -- Did you know there are TWO great Walls in China?
That's right -- the newest version stands as a beacon tower for the all-new Olympic Clay Target Field -- resting in a picturesque setting surrounded by hills in the Olympic City.
From a fan's perspective, you may surprised at the what you see as six shooting platforms, each adopting the appearance of a beacon tower, forming a miniature of the Great Wall.
Designers of the sight selected beacon tower design so that international athletes and spectators coming to the venue would easily associate it with the Great Wall.
The clay target field is capable of holding five events of the clay target sports.
An advanced sound receiving device highly praised by International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) is installed at each shooting area, which will send the order of the athletes immediately to the control room and simultaneously start the automatic target tossing system.
